For Off Road Use Only
How often do we see this and it means nothing to us. Well I just bent my secound set of lakewood struts. Only one bent, it makes the car ride like a covered wagon. I had one good one from the last set that went bad. So I put it on tonight.
Do you all think it is from the pot holes and poor roads, or just that they don't last as long as a regular shock/strut? |
I haven't run the lakewoods but my guess with your et's is all the weight hanging off of them at launch combined with Lousiana's notorious velvet smooth road system. I would look into putting limiting straps on the car so when you do launch it is the strap supporting the weight not the strut(they also come in handy in tuning your launch for different track conditions).

sway bar
You think it has anything to do with driving around on the street without your front sway bar??

i had 90/10 lakewoods on my 89 for 2 1/2 yrs and never had a problem, i also have had new ones on my 95 for about 1 1/2 yrs now with no problems.
do you have 3ft deep potholes by you or something? |
I think it's the roads in LA. i drove from TX to FL twice. I-10 in LA. is by far the worst hwy. I have ever seen. Do you all have a DOT in LA? The roads suck big time.
|
I really think it is from the poor condition of our highways. The politicians get 90% of the road money, the roads get 10%
