If i can last recall my friends 92 5.0 with a AOD had an h-pipe but not sure. I would get a few more opinions or look under someones with a AOD.

You should be all set with either an o/r h-pipe or x-pipe. If you were going with long tubes headers then that's where you would have a problem getting things to clear the tranny.

I have a 91 Coupe with a 5.0 and AOD that currently has an H-pipe on the car. The only problem due to the fact that MAC h-pipe's must be for m/t, the passenger side O2 sensor mount must be relocated so that the O2 sensor can be installed without hitting the transmission. As I found out over a period of time the O2 sensor will break. Hope this helps. Jeff Cardwell NMRA F/S 6060 |
thanks for info

Humm, thats funny. I have a MAC o/r h-pipe and have never had a problem with it. As far as I know MAC only sells one h-pipe for both manual and auto. |
Will my car must oddball. Just goes to show what happen's when you buy an ex-rental car. Maybe my H-pipe was just welded wrong since this was for shortys.
