Full Ford part no. for the "A9L" EEC
Can someone give me the full Ford part number for the A9L computer? I asked the auto parts store for an EEC for a '90 5.0 / 5 speed and they give me 10 different options. Thank you for any help/guidance you can give. And they range in price from $120 - $280. I'm converting from carbureted to mass air EFI.

Here's the part number listed on Alldata DIY for my '89 LX 5.0 5-speed (Federal emissions):
F3ZZ12A650EB I don't know if that is the exact part # of the unit in my car, but it should be. Check on car-parts.com or stangparts.com. Both sell used parts and should have what you need. Good luck, Rich D. |
Thanks!
Hey Rich. Thanks for the guidance. I also kinda forgot about the various used parts guys on the Web - maybe that's the way I'll go. Regarding Alldata - has that been a useful tool for you to subscribe to?
BTW - I'm learning that when you're building an EFI fuel system from scratch that will support 400+ horsepower, you better get out the checkbook! Hopefully it will pay off! Thanks again. |
Alldata...Yeah, I love it. It's not too expensive and it includes almost everything. Diagrams, wiring, trouble codes, repair instructions, even prices, part numbers and the standard repair time.
If I'm not mistaken it's 14.95 for the first year and 9.95/year renewal. If you want more info send me an e-mail... Good luck, Rich D. |
if you notice at stangparts a used one is $220 and a new one from ford is only $209...go figure!
also you can find new ones cheaper online |
