EFI Intake spacer for valve cover

Can you fit taller valve covers on a efi mustang 351W if you put a spacer between the upper and lower intake? If so how much spacing? Any benefits/drawbacks to putting a spacer?

Ive got the comp polymers covers on my car now, and I went with the 3/8" spacer to be safe, although I dont think I needed it. I think the tall style covers require more than a 3/8" though, prob depends on the specific cover though. Also, I have a cobra intake, and with the spacer it barely fits under the stock hood.

I want to put the covers that say Ford racing on them. They will be going under the Victor 5.8L EFI intake and over 205 AFR heads. Do you know how big of a spacer I will need?

I installed high rise valve covers b/c of roller rockers and had to install a 1/2in spacer to gain enough clearince. A spacer keeps the upper cooler hence the air is cooler =hp.
