Which Holley 600 for an 83'?

I have been looking into Holley 600s. Which model is the correcto fit for my car? It is an 83'? Thanks.

I have the 80457, had to do some fuel line modes to get it to work.. nothing major..

or are you looking for a stock replacement?

Thanks for the info. I was looking for a performance upgrade. I was wanting it to bolt right up with the electric choke. I have been told to switch intake manifolds and switch to a Holley 600 carb but it wasn't specified which one. Can I just bolt it on and see a performance increase?

a little..the stock 4v carn is around 570 cfm.. I think..
none of them are going to bolt up without fuel line mods...
but I think you could swap the bowls off the stock carb to the new one... then it would be pretty much the same..

if you get a 600, get the quick change secondary spring kit and put a lighter spring in so the secondaries open quicker.. for that matter, you could put it on the stock carb, and see if it helps.. then move it to the new carb later :-)

Alright, thanks for the tips. What do you recommend for a decent performance upgrade? A new intake manifold, maybe headers? Would that help out quite a bit?

for the money, gears will make the biggest difference.. you can get gears for the 7.5... but you might look into swapping in an 8.8 from a later stang and the gears..the rear is pretty common..if the car is mildy built or stock, the 7.5 will be fine :-)

to run headers on the 83, you'll either need a set of long tubes and a new y-pipe into the stock exhaust, or shorties and the rest of the exhaust off an 86-up stang..
