timing question
What is the standard timing for a Mustang?
Mine is no longer stock and it probably has a different setting now.My question is..........can I advance my timing to a point where I get better performance, but can still drive on the street with no problems? Any advice or suggestions wil be greatly appreciated. :D Crimson |
Stock timing is 10 Degrees
You can advance it as high as 15 Degrees. See what degree works best for you. |

Usually 14 is a good place to keep it. Depending on whats done to the motor...i as well, run mine a 18 with no prob, but its far from stock.

timing
You should be able to look at my car specs and see the Mods I have done and then maybe get a better idea of what timing setting I should use.
Just a thought.......... Crimson |
It really doesn't matter. Only you will be able to tell. There is no set formula. engine mods, altitude, gas quality, air temp, and the day of the week your block was made all have an effect. Trial and error is the only answer.
