differential clutch paks help!!!

Ok, i am trying to solve the ocassional one wheeler i get.
Anyway i know what needs to be done, i seen diagrams, and seen a link from the corral.
My problem is the pinion shaft screw 5/16 bolt i cant get out,

it is way back in the case, and i cant get enough swing on my tiny little ratchet to back it out, is anyone had this problem? is there something else i could try?

thanx for any help.

What about a nice long extension for your ratchet?

Coupe50h 07-11-2003 12:58 AM

i have tried that, it seems as like the socket itself is too long, and a swivel is out of the question:( thanx anyway

uh..i dont rember exaclty what a 8.8 looks like inside(been a while) but did you try rotating the axles and or the DS?

thats the lock bolt for the PIN right? cant you turn the gears so it faces out!??

YEa, i know, i figured that out right after i posted, i didnt know the whole case would rotate? i felt stupid trust me, but i finished the same day, it went fairly easy, but i fought that s-spring, omg, and had hel getting one of the c-clips to seat:( my knuckles are still healing, and my back is killing me, but now i know what to expect next time i dig into it.......thnx for the replies anyway.

btw, nice to do a burnout with both tires now:cool:
