396 stroker

i just recently got a 396 stroked engine pushing 440rwhp with 10:5 compresion. i want to supercharge the motor and i was wondering if the 10:5 is too much. if not what would be the best sc for me??

thanks

10:5 is to hi for boost.
my motor is 10:1 and didnt like boost at all.
i guess you could run boost with hi compression but detonation would happen very easily and you wouldnt be able to run pump gas. SPRAY IT!

yes 10.5 is too high for a supercharger. I around 9.0 to 9.5 is about as much compression as you can have and easily apply boost to.

Yeah, like others said, that is high comp. I guess you might could get away with a huge (3 core) intercooler, cooler plugs, Higher octane, retard timing, etc, etc, but in the end, spraying that motor would give you the best bang for the buck. Say a 150 shot...;)
