Too Many Problems!!!help!!!

alright...All of a sudden my car has all of these problems.
1. It doesnt want to idle when the engine is cold
2. Engine "surges" when on the highway
3. High loss of horsepower after 3500 RPM's
4. Back fires in the intake man. when engine is
cold and sometimes just at random.
5. "Check Engine Light" flashs on and off

I already checked the EGR valve and that is the only thing i know it is NOT. Any info would help. thanks.

Your starting point would be to pull the engine codes...

true that, pull the codes

I had a similar problem with my car. Loss of power above 4000 rpm's turned into stubling and bucking and just plain heartache when driving the car. The longer i put up with it the worse it got. I replaced almost all of the sensors for the FI and it turned out to be the mass air meter. The minute I put the new one in my car came back to life, never been happier. I hope this helps you. wish someone could have given me the same advice for my car! Let us know how it goes.
