Got a problem

Aight, I am a friend of NoSlow5.0 he's the one who brough me to this site, so first... Hello all.

Second, I come to the site with a problem already needing help. My Mustang (95 GT Coupe (Racing suspension, ground down exhaust, modified tires) has been slipping transmission wise for a while. Well when it began to slip so bad it would jerk and ignore third gear (yea it's an automatic... I wish it wasn't but it was a gift (best one I've ever gotten too))... now it sits in the parking lot of my work the transmission didn't seem to like the idea of reverse so it wouldn't catch and I couldn't back out of the space... Tried adding transmission fluid... Help?

So you continued to drive it after the trans started slipping? The AODE's are very hard on fluid. At 32,000 easy miles, my fluid looked like engine oil. Take it to someone who can FLUSH the fluid out. (not just drop the pan and change what is in there) After they flush it out, then they can drop the pan and change the filter. Thats the first thing i'd do. There are no electrical routines associated with no reverse engagement.

Noslow also advised me to point out that the gears would engage (IE I could shift into them fine), just no go when I gave it gas.... Still the same advice?

Does youre idle change at all when you shift into gear? How many miles are on it? Its possible you have smoked it too.
