Should you run a solid lift cam with stock bottom

I have a stock bottom end on my 351w. I am changing cams this winter. Wondering if it would hurt anything to get a solid lift cam rather than a hydraulic. I don't know if this is even a valid question, but never had a solid lift cam and would like to hear from people that have or have not done this to see if it is worth while or a waste of time and money. Thanks

I personally dont like solid cams cause they are high maintenance.

You constantly have to re-adjust your rockers. Not to mention a solid cam is noisy.
