I'm thinking it's a Valve issue???

My car hits a wall at 5400 rpms. I thought it was possible the VSS. I resolve the speedo issue and it didn't help. I thought it may be the chip but I had the rev and speed limiters raised on them by Byron already who too says there's nothing wrong with my calibration.

I'm getting a compression and leak down test tomorrow. Could be a Valve Float problem???

I have a Lunati cam (L51014) and Twisted Wedge heads that have been on the car for 2years now.

My rwhp numbers from 10/11 seemed pretty low to me at 239.

If it is a Valve problem, how hard are the spring to replace and how much does something like that usually cost on a 94 GT?

Thanks,

Tony

Your dyno numbers seem way too low. Was it a Mustang dyno or a DynoJet? Mustang dyno's typically read much lower than DnyoJets because they simulate load.

Are you sure the chip is working? The factory rev limiter is set to 5500 on your car. The springs that come with the TW's should be good enough for that cam, however they could still be worn out and weak.

I'd double check your chip first, then maybe replace the springs. AFM has some good springs that are a direct replacement on your TW's.

I'm thinking it's the chip too...

I have to make an appt to see the tuner again to have him double check the rev and speed limiters. I had the guy that did all the work on it test drive it today and he definately think its a chip/rev limiter problem.

It's strange though because with 3.73s there weren't any problems. They all started when I put the 4.10s on.
