351 stroker. what ones the best??

I'm going to stroke my 351. What would be a good street motor but also a weekend racer. Thanks everyone

That 392 looks pretty promising. I guess it depends on what your trying to do? If your looking for 100,000 mile + longevity then stay away from extreme strokes or big cams. Then again if 50 or 60,000 miles is acceptable then the bigger strokers are ok.

IMO the 392 looks promising, almost 400 cubes so its an easy 450 hp or more? Looks like you have all the stuff to do it in your sig?

Easy Choice for me, looks like your already capable of making good power. I have a 396, it is the easiest conversion.
You can use a good 3.850 stroked crank stock rods, of Eagle H beams, then use a forged 302 piston, dished of course to lower compression.

A hold on, you should make over 600 with your goodies bolted on and torque in the same range. Should put you in the low, 11's to 10's if you can get good traction.

Thanks everyone for the replys. One other question, should I get new heads or will the iron GT-40 work? There worked to the max, I can't go any bigger with them.

393 is the only way to go. I am building a 393 with a YS-trim Vortech. Check out DSS.
