do mustangs come with marbles in the engines???

I was driving down the freeway and I heard noices from under the car. It sounds like a marble is in there!!! I was not even going at a high speed, I was going about 65-70. what could this be? Could it be my timing? I am running 91 rating fuel. I hope it is my timing...Please help

It could very well be the combination of your chip and timing. When I last called ADS, they said I had to run 93 octane and stock timing which is 10 degrees BTDC. I'm sure Hypertech will say the same thing. Try the gas first and then verify the timing. Other than that I'd say you could be going lean, but we'll look into that after the gas & timing check.

I'd bet its your timing, back it off and see what happens. I'd bet that the reason you heard it first on the highway was cause the engine had just begun to get hot.

It sounds like a pee-wee or a Devils eye marble to me .....Got to watch those kids with their marbles!!! LOL... I'd bet on your timing back it on a C hair...

Dont know if it helps, but I am running 14 degrees, a Superchip and 87 octane, no problems

Take out that over the counter junk they call a chip. Then see if it does it.

what it sounds like your experiencing is detonation( which can cause big problems, broken pison skirts, melted pistons etc...), possibly retard your timing. Or run some combustion chamber cleaner to clean up your motor, sometimes the built up carbon in your combustion chanbers and retain heat and ignight fuel before actual spark plug igniton. hope it helps....

You said "under" the car. Both my and my cousins' mustangs as well as some other cars I've heard make this sound like marbles upon braking or acceleration. I think it comes from the exhaust. I thought that maybe a piece of weld came loose inside the piping or a piece of catalytic element broke off and was rattling around in there. If thats what your talking about then I wouldn't worry about it cause there's nothing you can do. Just a suggestion.

OK, I just had the same problem. Check the heat sheilds on your cats. If they come loose they rattle like all hell. I had to pull one of them off because it made my car sound like a POS.
