Remote Optimizer??
Does anyone know how to work this? It is the new Pro-M Remote Optimizer. I have a 77mm calibrated for 42's. I run 24's with a FMU. I hooked this up and it would idle, very rich, but it would idle. I tried to drive it and if I gave it ANY gas, it would choke out and die....any suggestions?
I hooked my 70 back up and WHAM, it ran fine! In desperate need! |
thanks for the advice guys!

It was my understanding that the remote optimizers were just for fine tuning the calibration between injectors and MAF. They didn't have the adjustment for totally different injector sizes. Now they may have changed them since they first came out so check with Pro-M first like Eric said.

Are there two dials on it with ports to plug in a DVOM? If so one dial should be idle and the other high speed. You will need to know Air/Fuel ratio or be able to measure Exhaust Gas Temp to be able to fine tune it. But you should be able to lean it out far enough to make it run. Obviously you will need to adjust it down as far as it will go if you are running that rich at idle.

Hi Dustin-
Set the "HIGH SPD" to 1.75 With the car running and the VOM meter hooked up and set on volts set the "IDLE" to 0.7-0.9v. Do this with the car at running temp. and after the desired idle is set on the throttle body. If you have any questions fill free to PM me. |
