Code Trouble! Help!
Heres whats up: I have been getting Code 34 both in Memory and in Continuous. Both KOEO and KOER. Code 34 is EVP Voltage above closed limits. I went and bought a new EGR Valve Sensor(EVP) thinking that may solve it, I was wrong. I installed it, disconnected the battery for 15 minutes, then ran the car for a little bit. Then I ran the tests. Code 34 showed up again. What gives? How do I fix this? Any help is greatly appreciated.

Before replacing that EGR valve, clear your codes and disconnect the vacuum line from EGR. If you don't get a code the next time you run, it probably means the vacuum control solenoid isn't working correctly or you have something hooked up wrong. FPR line going to EGR and vice versa.
Vacuum line should be going from EGR valve to vacuum tree and then to the EGR vacuum solenoid on the backside of your passenger side strut tower. The lone one on top. ------------------ 351W 89 Mustang GT Convertible |
