Car bogs when A.C. turns on???
My friends 97' stang has a problem when he turns the ac on. If the car is idlng it will shake harshly when the ac kicks on or when he's on the road it kinda jerks. What can it be? Someone said it might be low freon but I don't see how freon would do that.

Try replacing the serpentine belt; it may be loose or slipping a bit and when the A/C compressor kicks on, the slack is abruptly taken up and you get the jerking and/or shaking. Worth a try and won't do any harm.
If that isn't the problem, it could be in the compressor itself, but do the easy stuff first. |
