Ignition Module

What is the average cost of a new ignition module. Is the installation hard?

25 to $30- Autozone- they sell a ford ignition wrench which helped alot. Unscrew two screws. Put grease on back of new module(comes with it). Screw back on. Hope this helps.

hey you can also use a 5.5mm nut driver. I just recently replaced mine, it wasn't hard at all. While you are at it you can buy a high performance module at almost the same price!! hope this helps

When this module goes, your car wont run at all. If you want to be certain that the module is functioning correctly you can test it. You will need an ohmeter or you can have the auto parts store test it for you. 5.5 is the correct size of bolt but you may need to either counter bore the module slightly to accomodate the socket, or grind down the od of the socket so that it seats properly into the module.
