Timing chain question
I have to replace the timing chain cover gasket and I need to know if I need the gasket with a sleeve or without. Also they asked if I had 58 links in my timing chain. I want to replace the timing chain while I have everything apart. I'm going to go with a double roller timing chain. Is this a good idea and can you guys give me a heads up to what I might be looking at. Any problems I should look out for.

timing chain
I'm assuming youre talking about a repair sleeve for the balancer. If your balancer has that much of a groove in it, would be a good idea to repalce it. REsto 50 has factory one for about 80 bucks and you can get NHRA approved for around $200. Im running the Ford Racing double timing chain, nice, it cam with new roll pin and thrust plate. Got mine from summit for around $75

Front cover gasket.
Early T/C gaskets do not have alignment sleves between the block and front cover. If yours is a '93, it has the sleves and needs the gasket with 2 large holes near the bottom. As to the chain and gears, just order the ones for a '93 and you should be fine.
