Help with new engine setup...

ok i sold my 86 and as a winter project im looking to do a 79-84 coupe.
i want to use an 87+ forged 5.0 and i wanna do a carburated setup.
im trying to get an idea on if the setup i have in mind will work out the way i want. i also dont want to deal with notching my pistons or anything like that.
also with what i'v listed what intake manifold and heads will be best for my setup? im gonna start ordering parts as soon as i get all this figured out. emitions is not an issue and as far as drivability goes its gonna be a weekend cruiser.

not looking to go TOO radical. its gonna be an all motor setup for the first season, eventually i'll go with a stroker and spray the world at it.

-Its a stock bottom end 87+ forged motor.
-I have a 750 double pumper holley, so im looking for something that'l work with that without having to totally de-jet it.
-As far as cam goes im looking to go with something a little bigger than an E303, once again i want to avoid piston notching.
-All the obvious basics, roller rockers, long tube headers etc.
-With the gear im lookin to stay between 3.90 and 4.30
-as far as heads i was thinking TFS twisted wedge or AFR 185 2.02's???
-i have no clue what intake manifold

any help would be totally apreciated, i want everything matched close to perfect with minimal problems, if possible.
id just ask the builder, my dad, buuutt unfortunetly hes a hardcore chevy guy and i'd like the opinions of ford owners/builders.

thanks!

f303 cam go with the afr heads they are better out of box use 373gears if you have to have more gear go with 410 no more .
the Edelbrock performer rpm air gap is an excellent manifold use this and you will be happy .

the F-cam works fine with the stock pistons and motors, The new Trickflow stage 1 is a great up to date cam that makes plenty of power and works with stock as well..

is the trickflow stage1 the .499/.510 one?

heads are set im gonna order the AFR's this weekend along with the edelbrock intake. im gonna hold off on the cam for a bit, just wanna get a few more opinions.

F cam, AFR heads, VICTOR JR intake!!!! No question about it.

5 speed = 4.10 gears
Auto = 3.73 gears

Are you looking for a body??? I have a 79 notch that used to be a 4cyl.

is not the Vic JR WAYYYYYYYYYYYYYY too much rpm????
the F cam makes power i think 2600-6500, heads flow up to 6500 out of the box isnt the victor jr like 7grand range?

also 1 other question hopefully someone can answer, when i order the heads should i get stud or pedistal and what exactly is the difference? is it just the way the rocker arms mount or is it more than that?

i was just told that if i used an F303 with those heads i WILL have to notch the pistons.......is this true?

Nope, the f-cam will work with stock pistons on a stock motor no problem.. used it... still am using it..
