First off, do the free stuff. Advance timing to 14-15. Remove air silencer behind filter box. Gears will give you the most for the money. Do your self a favor and get weld in sub frame connectors. Try running synthetics in motor, tranny and rear end. This will give you 5-10 horse at rear wheels and make your pony last a lot longer. Amsoil makes a great product.

gears first, then exhaust, heads, intake. how many miles are on your car? auto, or manual?

Set a plan so you don't end up buying parts twice.

Thanx for the advice guys. It's an automatic...and it has 56,000 miles on it. Thanx for the input so far guys. I'll keep in touch.

low mileage....i would say switch to synthetic oil because of that.

I agree, get a pair of weld-in subframes. They'll make a significant difference. I had a pair of Steeda's w/cross brace welded in about a month ago, and I love'em. Less rattles, less squeaks, better ride, and better traction. Every mustang should have some.
