Too much oil from PCV...
Now that I have finally solved the major oil consumption issue of a poor seal on the intake manifold, I noticed a decent amount of oil in a new plastic fuel filter I installed between my PCV valve and the vacuum port underneath the intake manifold.
I definitely have a baffle in the intake manifold and I am convinced way too much oil is being sucked into the intake. I already lengthened the 3/8" hose by two feet to make the oil travel farther, but it is still getting drawn into the manifold. Any tips? I currently have only one oil breather on the passenger bank valve cover. I don't want to plug the system either, I've read it's too important to vent. Thanks... |
Re: Too much oil from PCV...
If you find the cure let me know.
I am currently running a 1 way check valve in the middle of my 1 foot hose. It seems to work pretty well. |

Have you replaced/cleaned the screen beneath the PCV valve?

Re: Too much oil from PCV...
Hey Pkrwud,
Long time no chat. I verified that the existing screen was intact. That screen only has 20k miles on it tops. Can I get a screen element that provides more resistance, thus reducing flow? |
