fluidampener
 

I installed a new Fluidampener and put my BBK crank pulley on. Now when ever I race my car my belt on my smog pump pulley is hanging of the pulley about an eighth of an inch.
Can I use an aftermarket pulley with this fluidampener? I'm pretty sure I have the dampener as far in as it would go.
Also with the motor at an idle it looks like the pulley and dampener woble a little bit but it goes away when you give it gas.

I have a Fluidamper on my car, and the aftermarket pulleys match up pretty good. and no wobble on the damper itself either! Hmmm...

Double check your dampner to make REAL sure its on far enough. Use a stright edge to align your pullies if your not sure. The dampner shouldn't wobble at all. It is probably still wobbling at higher rpm, you just cant see it. You should figure it out before you wreck the dampner, or worse. http://www.mustangworks.com/msgboard/eek.gif

Cruise control,power mirrors,...and Thats it!

Ok guys I tore back into it and the freakin dampner is rubbing against the water pump. To be more specific the outside edge of the fluidampener is rubbing against the bottom water pump bolt. I played hell getting the dampner off. Did anyone else have to grind on their water pump to get this thing to fit.
I called Summit and made sure I have the right part number. I think they put the wrong dampner in the right box. Is thier any why to tell by looking at the dampener if its right for my car?
Any help would be very appreciated.

From what I have heard, you will need a spacer to use that dampner on a 95.

The water pump housing is different on our cars than the earlier 5.0's.

I think that the FMS ones also need the spacer.

A spacer on what? I ground down the water pump so it wouldn't touch and it still won't go on. My stock one went back on fine. I'm going to call Summit tommorw and see about an exchange.
