Fix up 1990 302 or buy new 351
I am the original owner of my 1990 5.0. the motor has 104k on it and is in need of some repairs. I've listed all the "upgrades" I'd like to get on the car both motor, gears, etc, and it is approaching the cost of getting a crate 351. well, maybe a little less. Anyone put a 351 in a Fox and would you do it again? thanks.

I have put a 351 in my 89 GT. I went to carburetor at the same time. No doubt, I would do it again. Plug changes on #7 and #8 are a little mean, but not bad. I can change plugs in 15-20 minutes.
I think you would be happier with a 351, but it will certainly cost more. Some of your upgrades you want to get, you will still have to get with the 351. Especially if you go EFI. Rear end gears is one. |

Don't forget about the little stuff ya need to do the swap. Oil pan, I just sold one on ebay for $150, but the killer is the headers. Plan on $500 or so for a good set for the swap. ;)
