Try www.calmustang.com or www.50resto.com or www.texasmustang.com.
Glad to hear your whole car didn't burn up.

Amen to that. Glad itwasnt too bad :o
A woman I used to work with had a fire start underhood on the 275/Frankenstein. It was small to start, but when she got out and opened the hood, the wind got to it....it wasnt pretty.
Time to invest in an extinguisher. ;)

I feel your pain. I had an electrical fire. Went to plug the Gtec into the cigarette lighter. A wire was lose on the back side of the dash, arcing off and the fire started. Thank the lord I left the positive wire on the battery semi lose, otherwise the results would have sucked. You might be able to use a junk yard for some of your parts.

I'm a firefighter for a living, so my opinions are kinda biased to begin with. Don't wait for the IHRA/NHRA rules to say you have to put an extinguisher in, do it anyways. Keep in mind that dry chem extinguishers are corrosive! So if you have to use it, clean it off ASAP. Halon is real good, non-corrosive, but hard to find and DON'T BREATH IT, even though you can't see it. CO2 is awesome, but hard to find a small "car size" one. That stuff is VERY cold when it comes out, be careful of frostbite, and cracking hot engine parts.

I always go to a local furnace supply store, and wrap my clutch cable in fireproofing, just for that reason. Well, that and a melted cable is really tough to push.

Anyways, Glad ya stopped it in time! The world doesn't need one less mustang in it.
