Making valve covers fit?

OK guys I'm getting close to having this motor done. I adjusted the rockers today and
placed the valve covers on.I have already removed all of the little tits inside the covers. My problem now is the rockers touch the covers around the bottom center bolt. Can I grind the rockers down a little. Has any ever done this? Thanks for the help.

Well it's to late, I took the rockers to the grinder today at work. I will check them later to night. I don't think I hurt them. Has anyone ever done this?

A rocker arm is designed to handle a great deal of stress. The only thing you need to worry about is if the rocker is going to crack from removing metal from it. As long as you didn't get carried away I don't see why it would hurt. I think I would have opted to grind some more on the covers myself though.

i'm with 2FastLX on this, but as long as you didn't take very much of the rockers it should be ok.
