will a T5 work

how much power can a T5 handle. I'm dropping in a 351W dynoed at 468+hp & 402lb/ft. Will it last? I've got 4.10s in the diff. also.

A motor with that power will eat a stock T5 in no time at all.

EDIT: A motor like that will also smash stock axles out of a rearend pretty quickly too. Whatever breaks first, you know will be the weakest link.

I say use it, but dont powershift, and keep the rev's under 6k, If you do alot of racing, might have to look into a G-force, or tremec. It wont last very long, but then again they break behind stock mustangs too.
You would probaly need a clutch more expensive than the t-5 to hold up though.
After blowing several t-5's, most guys go c4, but i honestly dont like c4's, takes the fun out of it imo.

I know lots of guys running 10's in the 1/4 with a stock T5. Dont powershift and run good fluid and it will last a good while.
