Stock pushrods on GT-40Ys. Problem?

I just had my motor rebuilt since it had a oil starvation problem. I had to replace the crank, bearings, rings, etc. Now there is this damn ticking coming from underneath the hood. I asked the mechanic if this is going to get worse. And he said it was the pushrods making the noise because of the heads. After checking my manual for these aluminum heads, they mention HARDENED pushrods but no pushrods that are longer...so should I be worried? Is this clicking going to get worse? Oh yea, I am looking in getting a new hood (I have a cinncinati composites now) and I wanted to get a Cervinis, but they offer Ram Air hoods that I don't like. What other company is there that offer Ram Air hoods that are as good or almost as good as Cervinis that I can look at?
