I don't know about anyone else, but those HP #s seem a little high with stock 87-95 heads.

Thats what I was thinking also. He said they have been fully ported, polished and milled...

I agree. Depending on induction, etc.. I would guess more like 250-260 hp at the most.

260hp at the wheels or crank?
I would add a set of 1.6 or 1.7rr's and either a trick flow or edelbrock intake.

I don't know, good ported and polished heads should be good to more than 250HP. It would depend on the induction components; upper and lower intake, TB, MAF, and cam (which looks like both engines have).

I think the 300HP number sounds resonable. 350 sounds a little too optimistic though.

I would set this up with about a 73mm MAF and a 65mmTB..24lb injectors..

Correction: Now the guy says that only the exhaust side has been cleaned up to help with those flow problems..I could port the intake side myself if need be...

what about the motor thats suppost to be putting out 312..the guy said its possible to get those numbers with a good carb setup but maybe with a fuelie...

89 Cobra LX 08-30-2001 03:23 PM

Don't fool with that motor. It doesn't even have a roller cam.
