88 GT - rear exhaust question

I'm going to an after-market exhaust including: MAC long-tubes, short H-pipe,
and MAC cat-bak system. My son likes the look of rear exhaust on the LX where pipes come out the back.

Can anyone suggest ways of getting chrome pipes out the back of a GT through or below the rear GT bumper ground effect?

Chrome pipes coming out the back of a GT doesn't look good at all unless you got an aftermarket rear ground effects kit that is made for that.

Forgive me for not answering your question, but please consider this from a fellow stanger (ultimately though, it is most important that you do what you want to do since it is your car-- just make sure that is really what you want to do).

You can get a cobra bumper. You can MAKE the tips fit but they don't to very good.

a friend of mine had 3" crome tips and cobra rear, that looked real sweet!! i have seen people cut there GT rear bumper to fit crome tips through or under. it doesn't look as nice, and the heat from the exhaust made the bottom of the bumper start to curl under.
