Clickity-Click
I am getting a clicking sound from the rear end of my '95 GT. It just started doing it at 100K. It sounds like a pebble i the center cap of the rim, but that is not the caee. I've checked all around the wheels but see nothing. Does anybody have any idea what it could be?

If your rear brakes are drums, remove them and inspect the works. One of the springs may have broken, a clip could have come loose, etc.

As I stated, it is a '95 (Disk brakes all around) I have inspected the brakes and hardware and that is not the problem. I am afraid it is the rear wheel bearings.

have you ever changed you differential fluid? If not change it with mobil1 synthetic and a llittle frinction modifier. But before you throw away the old oil, check the internals and the oil for excessive metal. Also, the diff fill plug is magnetic and no large amount of metal should be attached to it.

Have you checked your rear sway bar to see if it's cracked or if any bolts are cracked. Does this sound increase with speed or go away? Is it louder over bumps? Does the sound stay at a certain pace, or is it random?

You know when you were a kid, and you took a playing card and attached it to your bicycle wheel so that the spokes made the card flap? That's what it sounds like, only more subdued. It does it at all speeds and all the time.

make sure you dont have a something stuck in your tire... like a nail or something... that happend to a friend of mines dad... he had a sheet metal screw stuck in the front tire of his van... it was short so it didn't go all the way through... so he never lost any air...
