let me add, the reason I'm asking is that I warm the car up in the morning (7am) when the frost up here in Canada is still on the grass. (haha, j/k)

But seriously, if it idles for 10 minutes, and then I drive it for 1/2 hr, there should be no problems when I park it and go to start it 8 hours later, right??

Thanks !!

You shouldn't have any problems.

You will run out of gas before you have any battery problems, unless your charging system is defective.

Take care,

for anyone reading this post WITHOUT pulleys and just starting out modding their 5.0, I RECOMMEND GETTING THESE!!!

They feel like they have given such a wicked gain in power !! I'm going to dyno tonite, but either way, I am totally not disappointed!!!

I agree, Pulleys are a great mod - but you don't get something for nothing. My battery did not die right away, but over 2 years I replaced 2 batteries...then I put in the 130A alt and have been fine for over 4 years. It is really a drain in winter when it is cold & dark both going to work & coming home - because you are running heat & lights all the time & it never really gets a chance to charge the battery too well.

I've never had any problems with mine. That's including overheating and recharging...

Ooops, I forgot to look at the year...94 GT probably had the 130A alt stock - in which case you would be fine.

That's awesome to hear man. I'm probably gonna get some...which ones did you buy? which ones do you guys recommend (what company, asp,march...etc???) THANX!

I would recommend Aluminum ones, and don't bother getting the Powder coated ones, the powder coating on mine started coming off after a few years, and it is exposing some really shiny nice-looking aluminum underneath (which I would prefer anyway!). I got March, but I bet ASP, and BBK are all CNC manufactured to similar specs.

jetuomi 10-19-2001 03:15 PM

I got MAC pulleys, a 3 pulley set. They are powder coated black, cause I don't have anything else shiny in my engine bay, black looked better..

if you're all into COOL colours, go March for shiny, or Ford Motorsports for Blue Anodized look !

Enjoy !

(now I need a new upgrade to hunt down and install!!)
