fuel pump question
 

i have a 92 GT and i know the fuel pump should be a little noisey but how loud shoud it bee? i noticed today when i was standin behind my car with it cranked that i could hear it over my mufflers. should it be that loud??? is there anything i can do to quiet it down some??? thanks
