pulley torqueing
I just bought a March pulley set #2010. What do you torque the crank, waterpump, and alternator pulleys to?

I am curious about this as well, more for the alt. Seeing a torque wrench is needed to remove this bad boy. Anyone......My ASP pulleys didn't say.

1) Alternator Pulley - Use an impact wrench to install the nut. You'll probably need the same tool to remove the existing nut, as there is no good way to keep the pulley from turning without destroying it.
2) Water Pump Pulley - 15-22 Ft-lbs. 3) Crank Bolts - 35-50 Ft-lbs. Personally, I like to coat the bolt threads with Loctite Blue to make sure the bolts don't back out. Hope this helps. ------------------ '91 LX Procharger, 3 row intercooler, extrude honed Cobra intake, Mac full Length Headers, 30# inj., 73mm C&L, 75mm tb, E303 cam, 289 rods, ported E7 heads, MSD, T-Rex w/255 lph Walbro, 5 lug conversion, Cobra R wheels, 3.27 gears and Moser Axles. |
