The term Pro-Shifted has nothing to do with the style of shifter. It pertains to the blocking rings and sliders. A pro shifted transmission will go in to gear effortlessly, but they make a terrible noise when upshifting and they are hard to downshift. For those two reasons they are usually reserved for drag race only cars.
I do not recommend driving one on the street. There is maintenance involved with a pro shifted box. I have had to take mine apart a few times and clean the burrs off of the teeth of both the sliders and blockers. If I drove it on the street, I would be doing that alot more.
