Default Probe Pistons?

Ive been looking for a set of pistons for my 331 stroker, and found a set of forged (aircraft aluminum) pistons by Probe for pretty cheap... Just wondering if anybody had heard anything about Probe?

They claim to be able to handle nitrous better then others and be 75%stronger then hypereutectic.

Any opinions, horror stories, or compliments about Probe?

I'm not saying that Probe is bad, personally I would take a JE/SRP piston over Probe. I believe Probe is owned/produced by TRW, which a few years ago was a good piston, but I've felt they've gone downhill and now they are just plain out too heavy. Just my opinion.

Thumbs up

I've got the Probe Sportman Race Series pistons with special valve relief for my TFS TW heads. Very nice pistons. No problems here.

Hadn't heard about Probe being owned by TRW though...I think Probe Industries and Coast High Performance are like one in the same.
