Question Problems with O2 Sensors on an Off Road X?

I just swapped to an Off Road X Pipe and changed the O2 sensors at the same time. I am now getting a 41 code. Do you think I got some bad sensors or do they not work right without cats?

Your exhuast velocity is too high for the O2 sensors to work.

Do a search on this forum from 1999 or 2000 for Rebel 79's off road h pipe fix.

It'll tell you how to put a small tab behind the O2 sensors, which will get them working right again.

Good luck.

Question

Does this only affect cars equipped with an "x-pipe"? I have an off-road h-pipe, and never had any problems with the sensors...
