I had a bassani catted x and replaced it with the prochamber. obviously the added gains of going to an off road pipe...but the prochamber I think sounds way better, gained power across the board. should have dyno proof soon. I did not seem loose any lowend torque either.
supposedly has the best of both worlds...scavenges like the x, sounds like the h. oh yeah, and mine is also a sn-95 |

I used the MAC pro-chamber on my 93 GT conv. Not much of a gain 0.05-0.10. In my opinion, not worth polluting the air and risking a heavy fine plus the exhaust note is not as good as the H-pipe. Buy a hi-flo 2 cat H-pipe.

In MA where I live, if a cop pulls you over and checks for cats, and you have none, its a $500 fine for each cat. You need atleast 2 in most states to pass emissions every other year.

That's funny I live in MA as well, though I never heard about that.. I was planning on getting inspected and just going right to the Off-Road H.... though I just cant see a cop getting down on his knees or stomach to look at the undeside of my car on the side of the road.. not to mention HOW could he know that you didnt have cats other then perhaps the sound..
Technicaly, i would imagine any state that has tough emissions law would fine you or something to that effect for messing with the exhaust, but I think when it's all said and done.. if you have your sticker you're set for a year... just make sure you can put it all back on once a year for the inspection to pass... I got pulled over once in my 72 olds cause my headers were torn open from a real bad road they were doing construction on.. I got pulled over outside a toll plaza and got a ticket for EXCESSIVE NOISE or something like that.. I cant argue with that.. it was LOUD. Essentialy OPEN header cause they were all torn up.. anyway.. good luck -as

Sorry, let me clean my last post up a bit. A cop is not going to look under your car for cats. Local town cops don't know crap about that stuff. So you have nothing to worry about with them pulling you over. Just be aware of the state troopers, because they can do personal emission tests right from their car. And trust me, they will fine you if caught with no cats. My friend had an 88 Notch with an off-road H-pipe and he got $1000 fine on top of his speeding ticket which was like another $500 for having no cats on his car. And he had an a valid sticker. Just be carefull.
