It will not work on a gas burning engine. Dissels are waste burning engines. That is why they don't explode when you run kerosene through them. As a good fuel additive I use Automatic tranny fluid when I work on a diesel. If I change the fuel filter (which need to be done more often on a diesel as they the fuel is much less refined) I fill the filter with a quart of tranny fluid before reinstallation. I have never tried it but a friend has a Cummins powered Ford one ton that he said he sometimes runs a quart of burnt engine oil through with the gas. He says it helps clean them out, and he's a diesel mechanic for a living.
