With a roller cam, you don't need to do the immediate 2500 rpm for 20 minutes to wear in (flat tappet) lifters. Modern moly faced rings seat almost immediately esp. if you have the preferred smooth hone job. Non-synthetic oil is best for break-in so the rings seat, then you can go synthetic for better heat resistance etc. For moly rings (most modern rings ARE moly-faced) pressure from the cylinder helps to seat them, so get on it! Good changing oil/filter soon like you did. One thing - can be quite important (ESPECIALLY with a hi volume oil pump that takes more power to turn and is not really necessary on a mild motor) is to put in the heavy duty Ford oil pump drive shaft!! The stockers have a nasty habit of twisting off in hp use, again ESP. w/ a hi vol pump.
