Default Running my new Nitrous system for the first time this weekend - need tuning help!

I just finished up the install of my ZEX kit with the rpm window switch. I will be racing at Norwalk on the 13th using Nitrous for the first time. See my signature for all of my other details. I'm not sure if I will run the 75 shot or maybe the 100 shot. Here are my questions. I am currently running Autolite 3924's and I know that I need to run a colder plug. Should I go with 3923's and what gap? ( I am using 94 octane ) As far as timing goes, I am currently running 16 degrees of initial timing. What should I back the timing down to? 10 degrees? I will have the nitrous come on at 3000 rpms and turn off at 5900 rpm and I'll shift at between 5900 and 6000. I plan on switching the spray on as soon as 2nd gear sticks. Any help that you can offer would be greatly appreciated!

P.S. Any Idea of what kind of times and mph I can expect with the juice???

Thanks!

Mike, I would run the 100 shot. You might as well see what she can do!

I've heard that one range colder is a good starting point (3923's, I think). Not too sure about the gap though.

Call me later,
E

.035 is what you should gap them at. For plugs the Autolite 23's are good, but the 24's will still work fine spraying a 100. Try first setting your base timing at 10 degrees, make a pass and check ALL of the plugs. I was spraying 150 with my base timing at 12-13 degrees with no problems. I even sprayed for a while at 15 degrees, but the car was no faster so I played it safe and backed the timing off a little.

I think you will see that nitrous and street tires don't mix very well. It will get downright annoying. You will probably run only a few tenths faster, but pick up 8-10 mph.

Thanks ExGM!

I have everything ready to go, new plugs installed and I'm picking up my new drag radials tomorrow. What should I do with my fuel pressure? Just leave it alone and let the nitrous system increase it?

Thanks again!

run the 100 shot. you dont need to go cooler on the plugs for a small shot but if you already did its ok. 12 initial timing is gonna be your best bet, especially since you are gonna run na til 2nd gear. if the fuel press. is good when its n.a. leave it alone. the zex kit increases the fuel pressure as need for the juice.
