Default which pulleys to buy???

i want a set of pulleys for maximum power gain with no charging/cooling issues in heavy stop and go traffic. cooling i have a stewart water pump, 3 row rad, new stock fan, new fan clutch, 195 thermostat, no current cooling problems. as for charging, i want to pick up a PA Performance 160 amp alternator. so many choices for pulleys, BBK, Steeda, March, Auto Specialities, FMS............which to choose?

also, is it worth the exrta $$$ for aluminum vs. steel?

If your asking which is the best brand to go with I'd say March. Although when it comes to pulleys theres no huge difference. You should be safe with a nice hi-flow alum. water-pump and maybe a 180 or 185 stat. For the alternator your definitely good to go with the 3g swap.

I got March's on mine. Like them just fine. But any would prolly work as good as another. I put the Alternator pully on and wish I had never done it(Charging Issues). I have since upgradded to a 3G and left the pully off (No Problems). Get the aluminum, it is not much more and as they say, every little bit helps

You get that Anderson Power Pipe yet?

ackbar, u are one funny mofo! hahahhahaha the thing is, it's a stock motor, and i just can't drop $250 on a powerpipe. for the money, i would be much better off with a set of gears. i agree it's a nice pipe, but i cant drop that kinda of loot for a few extra horses and a place to mount the msd box. don't worry, i probally wont be buying any other CAI's either!

watch your A$$ on pulleys. I've got aluminum UD's that came with my car when I bought it. I have a 140 AMP Powermaster Alternator with a pulley the size of the shaft because my crank pulley is so underdriven. works fine above 1000RPM's, but I also installed a 1000AMP Deep Cycle batt. so my lights NEVER go dim. The pulley's free up more than you'd think, just don't go too overboard like mine's previous owner.

No, I figured for all the shit I went though with the old setup, I was not going to mess with it. Plus, The Alt. Pully adds at most what, 1 HP? Not worth it in my opinion.

Gears - Power Pipe....... Id still get the pipe

I have a stock alt. and a electric fan and had no problems with underdrives.

I would reccommend march aluminum underdrives because they won't rust like the steel ones.

I have been there before, but they are not form Norwalk. The Dyno Pics are form Bowling Green KY 2 years ago. Before the Turbo, it made 300 RWHP. For a complete list, check out my cardomain webpage.
