Default pulling engine ?

When you guys pulled your engine did you have the front jacked up as high as possible? I'm thinking I should have left the car down on the wheels but would the tranny have cleared on the bottom? For next time, just want to know what's the correct way. I barely had the engine clearing the fenders. Should I have removed the oil pan?...
Many questions..
Thanks,
PM

If your car is a 5 speed pull the engine and tranny together its its an auto I would seperate the engine from the trans.

I just left my wheels on the ground and tilted the engine as I came up on the cherry picker.

I thought it was pretty easy.

Ever have any problems pulling a engine from the side. Are there any clearance problems?
