Thumbs down Pump bracket?

Hey guys, I have a friend with a 83 gt. The power steering pump is on the top drivers side of the motor. It is in the big aluminum bracket. The A/C pump has been removed, and the problem is that there are only 2 - 8 inch bolts holding the P/S pump. They are at around 7 & 10 oclock looking at the pump from the front. With the tention and vibration it keeps breaking the bolts right wear the threads start. There is nothing on the otherside of the pump to resist the pull of the belt. My car is a 89, and the bracket setup is totally different, so no help there. If anyone has any ideas I would love to hear them..... Thanks
