punched cats or off road Hpipe
Hi all,
I have a 93 GT with the front cats puched out on the stock Hpipe. How much louder would an actual off road Hpipe be? Jay |

It will be louder, but not a whole lot. It all really depends on how gutted your stock ones are.
Also, your stock H-pipe is 2 1/4" and most off road pipes are 2 1/2" in diameter. This will greatly help the flow, and inturn make it louder

I don't know, but don't waste your time punching cats and the like, this ruins them for any future use, and an H or X pipe is the right way to get the job done, but to answer your question I would say an H pipe would be a bit louder than punched stock cats, mainly because the pipe diameter is larger and free of any obstructions.
