Post putting 94-95 ball joints on to 89 a-arms

I'm upping my brake system to a 94-95 spindle and floating rotor assemblly, with the addition of 99gt 2-piston pbr calipers.I still want to maintain my 89 a-arms. the 94-95 ball joints are fat and short, and the 89's are tall and skinny. iwould like to know if it is possible to transplant the newer ball joints into the old wons home. the FRPP system fixes that problem with spacers which you can't get. so if any ideas can be generated please resond.
