pvc valve

this is a stupid question... could a pvc valve cause bad transmisson shifts

ALS85GT 09-17-2001 12:31 PM

No the PVC would not cause transmission issues. If the the valve was bad then your car would not run right. This valve just allows your engine crankcase fumes to be sucked out. Good Luck.

No such thing as a stupid question. The answer is still no, though.

Not a dumb question, but NO is the answer. Also, it's PCV, not PVC. Stands for positive crankcase vacuum or something similar.

How many miles since your last tranny service, when you pull the tranny dipstick is the fluid dark or smell burned. I do a service once a year, but my car goes to test and tune alot.
