use different grades of sandpaper on mine and it brought it back to new. finish with a fine grit and then apply "back to black" by mothers. it will recondition the rubber. it looks brand new.
hope it helps! Adam |

I had mine painted when the car was done. It's been 3 or 4 years and it still looks great! Check it out, if you want, at: http://photos.yahoo.com/bc/mustang132/lst?.dir=/

i bet that they are as bad as mine and i dont think that sanding will do the job, maybe it will though
a friend of mine has an 87 that he sanded then painted with trim paint and it turned out pretty good, mothers back to black does work a little bit but doesnt last long at all and all it does is make it a little darker, it does nothing for the pittedness of the trim, i wish some company would come up with a cheap replacement for this trim (not the covers) because pretty much every 87-93 i see is like this and it is ugly as hell ------------------ 88 Notch, B&M Ripper, 3.73's, Ported E7's, Explorer int. w/ ported lower, pulleys, 1.7RR's, BBK headers, off-road H-pipe, flowmasters, subframes, 65mm TB, March ram air ,MSD coil, U/L control arms, 155lph f/p, Crane Adj.FPR, Nitto drag radials, best 1/4--> 13.76@101.4 on a 2.17 60ft |
