Question about Shocks
Okay, I am lowering my car, and obviously want to do my shocks too. After tonight though, I don't want to wait much longer to lower the car (went and played on a very winding road!). I originally wanted Koni shocks, but there are just a little too pricey right now. I have been looking around, not a lot mind you, but a little, and have noticed alot of people put KYB shocks on. What do you all recommend using? I have a '92 GT, I am dropping it with Ford Racing Springs, and want to spend no more than $200 on new shocks.
Thanks! Amanda |
I have KYB struts and Koni's in the back.
I've never heard of any complaints, nor do I have any of either brand! You'll love them! |
Do a search in the archives on the Corner Carvers Forrum here on Mustangworks. You will see my (ahem) remarks... ;)

Shocks
Amanda:
Drudis likes Tokico shocks but they cost a lot more than $200. KYB struts & shocks are a good replacement for stock if you're not looking for a drastic improvement in handling. You can get a set of 6 (2 struts, 4 shocks including the quads) for about $200. from Mustangs Unlimited. Good deal. I have the KYB's and have zero complaints after 2 1/2 years of use. Mild improvement over stock at a great price. |
Or you can put in 70/30s and 50/50s and it will go in a straight line faster, but dont try taking those turns to quick ;)
