Default question on mac headers

Would MAC 1 5/8 (unequal) headers be too big for a basically stock 5.0? i have an off road H pipe, glasspacks, and a K&N filter as the only mods so far. Would those headers hurt the low end torque i love so much? would i be better off getting pulleys or something else?? and if they are good...are there any tips i need to know when im putting them in?? thanks alot for any help.

I dont see you gaining much by ANY header, now that you already have the h-pipe. If you do want headers, get the 1-1/2" EL shorties. They fit easier, and actually help low end, and not gain (as much) top end, but with everything else stock, there really isnt much top end anyways.
Here is the 1-1/2 that I used (and sold when I went to lungtubes for my 500hp combo):

Puilleys are worth an honest 7rwhp on the dyno (been there, done that), but you may have some low-charging issues...

I have the same basic modifications as you. Believe these guys when they say low end torque will be effected with 1 5/8" unequal headers (use 1 1/2"). I Just installed BBK 1-5/8" unequal length headers, BBK off road “H” pipe and Dynomax Super Turbo catback exhaust. Definitely lost some low end torque, But it sounds great.
